The Colombian Space Agency (AEC) is a private non-profit foundation dedicated to coordinating the efforts of academia, government, and the private sector to develop the aerospace technology and services industry in Colombia. Since its inception, the AEC has been committed to implementing projects that generate significant social and environmental impact, promoting a comprehensive vision for the use of space.
Its mission is to foster productivity, efficiency, and growth across various economic sectors, thereby contributing to the construction of a more inclusive, prosperous, and environmentally respectful country. As an official member of the International Astronautical Federation since 2014, the AEC maintains a constant connection with global trends and advancements in the space sector.
Development Verticals:
GreenSat: An advanced satellite imagery analytics platform that uses artificial intelligence to provide effective solutions in areas such as precision agriculture, natural resource management, environmental monitoring, and urban planning. Its goal is to deliver accurate data for informed decision-making, improve environmental sustainability, and facilitate resource management.
StarSat: This vertical focuses on providing satellite connectivity in Colombia, enhancing internet access and communication services in remote areas. Its objective is to expand telecommunications coverage, enabling underserved communities to access information and digital services.
Learning with Galileo: A virtual education platform focused on STEAM content (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) and English language classes. Its goal is to provide access to high-quality education and promote educational equity, leveraging technological tools to enhance teaching and learning.
