Marcelo Alves

Bio

Marcelo Alves da Silva has been working in the telecommunications sector since
1995, both in telecommunications service providers and solution suppliers.
Since 2015, he has been a public servant at the Brazilian National
Telecommunications Agency (Anatel), where he has served as a specialist in
planning and regulation, general manager of inspection, advisor to the board of
directors, and superintendent of inspection. He is currently the Director of
Investment and Innovation at the Ministry of Communications of Brazil. He
holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of
Uberlândia (UFU, 1995), and postgraduate specializations in Business
Administration from the São Paulo School of Business Administration at
Fundação Getulio Vargas (EAESP/FGV, 2004) and in Data Science and its
Applications from the Institute of Higher Education of Brasília (IESB, 2022)
